Show: The Donegal Doll Show Email: denisebrown1@eircom.net Hi my name is Denise Brown or Dee for short. I'm from Donegal and I have a wonderful partner Paul for 15 years, and we have 4 beautiful children ages 13, 10, 3 and 1 year old. I'm kept busy with my family! Late last year (2010) I had made a CD called 'For You' for my weans (children) for a keep sake after fighting a serious illness. Then one night after being snowed in for a few weeks I sent some songs to Pat Garrett, his advice was to get the CD mastered and get it out there. That's exactly what I did. After getting that done, I was invited to 'A night of the stars' in Letterkenny with Lisa McHugh, Nathan Carter, Gary Gamble and many more. It was that night that I first meet Gary Gamble, and he asked me if I'd like to join him for a wee song, sure why not!! This opened a whole new life to me. I haven't had a minute since. I'm enjoying every minute and the response to the album has totally blown me away. After being friends with Pat Garrett now for a couple of years, we got talking about a new venture of maybe putting something different on the road, we came up with 'The She Amigos', so we contacted, Linda Welby (The Galway Fiddler), Regina McDermott (Glor Tire) to join me, with Pat being our manager. So far we are in studio and in talks with some very exciting people. Then Pat asked me if I'd like to do a show on ICMR - being a fan of ICMR - it was a real honour to be asked, so I have a two hour live show every Monday 4pm GMT called 'The Donegal Doll Show'. Up here in Donegal, a doll is the same as lady, madam, fraulein, gall or colleen! A big thank you to Pat and Mark for ICMR and the listeners for giving me this wonderful opportunity, Love Dee xx
