Richard Harte was born in the County Tyrone Town of Strabane on the Donegal Tyrone border. He started as a school DJ in the early seventies, he married his wife Vera in 1977 and has three great kids that are all grown up now. Richard took a big intrest in American Country music 20 years ago when Vera started to teach Linedancing.

His first time on radio was with a pirate station called T.C.R, in Strabane 15 years ago. He then moved to a station called Drive105fm at the start of this year playing 60's, 70's, 80's and 90s music.
